Did foot, calf and ankles this morning as part of my pre-run warm-up and shoulders just now. They're still burning nicely 🤣

I gotta get some of those handled resistance bands! I have bands without handles and sometimes they cut into my fingers...

Looking forward to the stretch tomorrow!

I don't know, though I like your rhyming in the first two sentences 😉 You need to tag Liz (Pilates for Runners) to get answers...

I really needed the Single Leg Stability! My right knee was a bit more wobbly than usual, for some reason, so I was getting worried. Checked off my P4R workout yesterday not even thinking about that as a solution - and noticed this morning more stability in the knee 🥳 I might have to add more single leg stability sessions to my schedule...

Well, I changed my mind! 🤣 The at-home exercises from the prevention program aren't nearly as hard as the ones I did on site (on the little German island Borkum...) and I miss your guidance, Liz (Pilates for Runners) , so I am joining! Late and all but I think I can catch up over the weekend 😎

I might not join this one as I am just completing the onsite part of a prevention program that also has an at home part. I first want to see how that fits into my schedule before I add something else…

I did some dynamic stretching before my mid-day run today and was delighted to notice how much my balance has improved! Even on my non-chocolate side (as they call it here in Germany...) 🥳

Congratulations, Anne! I just finished the last session myself 😎

I think we're automatically entered when we completed all sessions. Is that correct, Liz (Pilates for Runners) ?

Nice! It went out with a...crunch! 🥳 And I am so proud that I made it! There were some evenings when I really had to push myself to do a video but "oh, you can do 20 minutes" really helped... Thank you, Liz (Pilates for Runners) for this challenge 💐

I still find the exercises valuable. The idea of March Matness is exactly that: To revisit the roots of the Pilates system... Although I agree that a lot has changed in our lives and so it makes sense to adapt the system. I am finding, for example, that there's too little focus on the upper body to counter our hunched postures...

Though maybe not as much has changed as we think? At least according to Natalie Petrzela's take in her book "Fit Nation," there was quite an angst going around Joe Pilates' time (post-WWI) that (white) men were getting too sedentary... The worry was that they wouldn't be able to fight anymore if they'd get fat from their desk jobs... It's a fascinating history (and now I want to dig more into her book again...).

Sorry that I hadn't thought about sharing this earlier! Yes, I plan to do it using Joe's "Return to Life" as my guide (and modifying the heck out of some of the more challenging ones...)
