Liz (Pilates for Runners)Hi Liz, I cannot do these becasue of my hips! Honestly I am feeling broken ... I cannot pull my leg in to my body because of my tight hips, I don't know where to start any more, everything seems to hurt.... I guess I am coming to the time now to get the hips replaced :-(

I think it’s slowly recovering! I had to go to the doctors and he told me it’s muscular, he prescribed some muscle relaxants, pain killers and rest (including walking) but no running. He advised me once I recover to do planks regularly to improve my core strength. I am still in quite a lot of pain and movement is hard, putting socks on is a big challenge! Let’s see how it goes, he will send me to physiotherapy if it’s not improving by next week

Phew … that’s tricky with hip arthritis, had to keep the moves slow but definitely felt like the hips have opened some 👍🏼 will favorite this session and come back to it so long I am not in pain tomorrow morning 🙄

Well in the end I only missed 9 sessions which I don't think was too bad since I was sick for 12 days! Roll on the next challenge ✌🏻

and once again … maybe it’s Pilates that makes me sick .. no, obviously not! But once again I missed the end of week 2 and all of week 3 since I collected a really really nasty bug, mycoplasmas or something similar, been running a high fever with a horrible sore throat and cough, hopefully will not lead to pneumonia!! Anyway it means that again I have failed in another Pilates challenge! Oh well I will keep trying and maybe one day I will complete one 🍀

Week 1 done :-)

I hate to sound boring by always mentioning it, last time I promise! It can be really depressing not being able to manage hip stretches due to my restricted movement abilities caused by the hip arthritis. I just use the time to do simple hip flexor stretching but even those caiuse me pain :-(

Thank you so much for these weekly challenges you prepare, they are a great motivation to get in extra movement in my week

Unfortunately I leave the house at 6:30am (living in Germany so 5:30am UK time so live morning sessions for me are a bit too late 😂 I am enjoying the recordings though and so far are really helpful for my achilles recovery.
